Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computers to aid in the creation, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design. The CAD software is used to increase the productivity of the designer, improve the quality of design, improve communications through documentation, and to create a database for manufacturing.
Students in the Geomatics, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical Departments will get to interact with the team from Delax.
Speaking to the PRO of KAAF Engineering Students Association (KESA), Mr Alvin Benjamin, he explained that, it’s core engineering students take their CAD classes seriously to improve productivity.
“Projects require visual presentations that only CAD can do, particularly in civil and mechanical engineering, and even in manufacturing. It will also be an added advantage for students from other faculties who will like to join in the workshop.” – He reiterated.
