The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programme at KAAF University is designed to train patient-oriented pharmacists with the knowledge, skills, and professional competence required to deliver effective pharmaceutical care. The programme integrates pharmaceutical sciences, clinical practice, and experiential learning to prepare graduates for hospital, community, regulatory, and public health pharmacy practice.
The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum integrates basic pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical care, and experiential learning. It adopts case-based learning (CBL) and Community-Based Education and Service (COBES) approaches to ensure early and continuous exposure to patient-oriented pharmacy practice. The programme includes classroom instruction, laboratory work, hospital and community rotations, seminars, and supervised experiential training.

Admission into the PharmD programme requires:

SSSCE/WASSCE with credit passes in English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus credits in Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics or Elective Mathematics.

Equivalent qualifications such as GCE ‘A’ Levels, IGCSE, International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the National Accreditation Board (NAB).
