Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

About the Department

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programme at KAAF University is designed to train patient-oriented pharmacists who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required to meet current trends in pharmacy practice and national pharmaceutical care needs.

The programme emphasizes the integration of basic pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, and experiential learning, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical care, public health promotion, medication management, and effective communication with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Through case-based learning (CBL), community-based education and service (COBES), and structured hospital and community practice, the programme prepares graduates to deliver safe, effective, and ethical pharmaceutical services in both hospital and community settings, in line with regulatory and professional standards in Ghana and beyond.
